2024 ProElite/USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals New Four-Year-Old Prospect Awards
Lexington, KY (February 21, 2024) – The United States Dressage Federation™ (USDF) is thrilled to announce that all 2024 ProElite/USDF Breeders Championship Series (BCS) Finals will feature the newly established Four-Year-Old Prospect Awards. Like the Three-Year-Old Prospect Awards established in 2018, the new Four-Year-Old Prospect Awards will be presented to the four-year-old horse earning the highest combined scores form their respective in-hand and materiale classes at the ProElite/USDF BCS Finals.
USDF Sport Horse Committee Chair Kristi Wysocki enthused, “After the success and popularity of the Three-Year-Old Prospect Awards, we felt that establishing one for four-year-olds would not only provide further acknowledgement for those horses competing successfully both in-hand and under saddle, but also help to bridge the gap between the in-hand and under saddle divisions.”
The ProElite/USDF Breeders Championship Series is designed to promote breeders and showcase quality sport horses, while ushering in the next generation of dressage mounts. Each series consists of at least two qualifying events in designated geographical areas of the country, culminating in a series final, where each ProElite/USDF Breeders Championship Series Grand and Reserve Champions are named.
